Back to the 80’s

I know it has been a while since I last wrote on the Blog. We have been very busy and have started this year with a lot of happy celebrations.

There is nothing more rewarding than receiving your compliments and nice thankyou cards; and, when you send pictures to share with our friends on the blog, well, that’s just like icing on the cake.

When I got this message, I was really pleased:

Laura was celebrating her Birthday so her daughter decided on surprising her with a “Back to the 80’s themed party. This is what we came up with:

We created a Red Carpet backdrop and the guests would wear funky 80’s hairpieces and a selection of Rockstar eye glasses, net gloves, afros and mullet hair for a fun picture opportunity.

Tableware selection: vibrant colors, aqua blue, hot pink and paper purple napkins with net and neon napking holders. The table cloth was black with an overlay of black and white checkers.

Some of the colorful centerpieces included vynil records and some were made with jukeboxes, remembering the 80’s movie hit: Grease! I love the part were Sandy (Olivia Newton John) shocks Danny (John Travolta) with an amazing transformation.

For cake, we decided on this giant boom, double cassette player, can’t get more 80’s than this. We decorated the cake table using changing LED lights. A job well done by Magda from JC Cakes.
