Sweet Fever, anyone?

October 9, 2010

We recently started promoting our new candy bar and sweet tooth buffets. They have become a new fever!

You can have them at Weddings, Sweet sixteens, quinceañeras and family gatherings…

You can choose the colors of your party to match your candy bar.

In this case, grey, red, and a black accent. This bar included fruit, dark and white chocolate, assorted mini alfajores. What you see in the shape of a cake is actually a tower of chocolate strawberries.

Hello Kitty Sweet Buffet

October 9, 2010

Two of our Sweet princesses/fairies are also chefs!

We are now promoting our elegant home-made delicious sweet buffets.

At a Hello Kitty party, the guests enjoyed this beautiful candy buffet. Candy buffets have a double purpose, they are beautiful for the eyes and tastefully yummy for guests to take home as a favor.

All the sweet delights are bite sizes. At this party, the client decided to go for this bar for adults and a cupcake bar for the kids, instead of cake.

Our Candy bars will come with table decoration.

A Tu,Tuuuu…Thomas The Train celebration.

October 7, 2010

Alex turned three this past Saturday.  What to do? What to do?

Her mom decided on a Tu, Tu party… This is how Alex calls his trains when playing because of the noise they make.

We showed you before some of the decorations created, but now  we will show cake, favors, pinata and party games you can have.

This party is the result of a vivacious toddler  fascinated with trains, and a super creative and loving mom!

The theme? Thomas the train, her mother decided on a variety of centerpieces. Instead of making one for all the tables, she did different Thomas scenes, some hold treats or chips. Check them out:

The party favors were mini Red bags made out of cardboard and vibrant red scrapbooking paper, (the colors are just more vibrant), featuring the same theme of the centerpieces. These favors were all in the same pattern.

I love how Alex’s mom wanted to incorporate the Number 3 in the Centerpieces. When she sees the pictures, she will have wonderful memories of that beautiful day.

Alex absolutely loved his cake, Lyneth did a wonderful job.  I prefer a combination of colors and patterns than the same old themed table cloths. Check out how the stars on the table actually enhance the cake without being absorbed among lots of color, matching the stars on top.

Mmmmm..This cake does not only look good it feels good too!

This is what Bday parties are all about: having unexpected but fun moments to treasure forever!

Games for this party where mostly pool games and water splash/fun with a tu… tuuu twist on them. Make sure you divide the kids into age groups when having a variety of ages. Specially when they play games in the pool, older kids might get rough with the small ones. Here Alex takes a look at his Tu tuuu piñata!

It is better to request a string piñata for toddlers. Each guest takes a chance to pull out a string instead of hitting it with a stick which is lots of fun, but  might be dangerous, specially for this age group.

Total Happiness!

Alex had a wonderful time with his Tu Tuuus…

We thank Alex’s mom for letting us share with you these beautiful pictures and  ideas!

A not so scary Halloween!

October 3, 2010

A not so scary Halloween party can also be fun!

One of the questions I get asked a lot is how to have a fair mix of adult and children party. Yes, we are happy to take care of the children entertainment while adults party on at another room! But sometimes, parents want to children and adults in the same party. The solution: A not so scary Halloween!

When you create the invitation, make sure you explain that yours will be a not so scary Halloween Party and that there will be activities for both parents and kids alike in a mixed environment.

For decoration, try hanaging pumpkins and avoid massacre and blood scenes!

If you choose children to carve their pumpkins ahead of time and for the little ones, go with stickers and adhesive funny faces.

Decorate your garden with Tombs, skeletons and bones to set the mood.

Invite a Party Host to take care of the children with fun games and activities. Here I list some of the ones we do for you:

– Go trick or treating with the young party friends. It can be around the neighborhood or at the party. We have a scavenger hunt game where adults are interrupted for 20 mins. while the kids go hunting for candy and prizes. Guess where? at a cementary with statues and monsters played by their scary dressed parents. The game is directed in a way, children of all ages understand.

– Best costume Runway. Kids model their costume and act their parts

– Witch crafts and funky experiments

– Read a story. Our witch reads a story in a funny version. Suppose it is Snow White, poor evil queen wants the children to understand her point of view about the story and keeps asking… So you really thing I was wrong? Why?

Have a potion beverage that is yummy and fun. Check out this recipe:

Serves/Makes: 12    Cook Time: > 5 hrs   Difficulty: 2/5
Ingredients: boiling water, lime-flavored gelatin, cold water, lemon-lime soda — chilled, superfine sugar.

To add a touch of mystery to your drinks and buffet table, buy dry ice for the effect.

Place cards with the name of the food and beverages. Names like: Bug juice Potion, Bewitched smoothie, Boo beverage!
