A Talent Show Party!

Our Talent show parties are lots of fun.

This type of party is  great for eight year olds and up, although some younger kids might also enjoy this theme.

The girls can pretend play their favorite instrument, sing karaoke or act a small part promoting a product. They get to choose!

Girls can have a glamour session of hair and make-up before going on stage.

You can choose to have a custom Hippojoy stage with red carpet and lights for the show. This one was used at a performing night at a school.

Check out this oscar night hot dogs. They fit perfectly at a Talent show party. You can give small oscar statues for prizes to all the participants.

Our character host, will sure make everyone participate.

Natalia is here displaying her musical talent. We will bring a variety of instruments that will make the kids sound like pros. Guitars, piano’s and drums!

It is a good idea to let hippojoy play and rehearse for the talent show. Did I tell you that they also get a red carpet interview?

Invite moms and dads to come at the end of the party to enjoy their children’s talents. Both parents and children love that!  Don’t forget to put this on the invitation. For example:

Parents are welcome but not required to stay, but we don’t want you to miss the grand talent show at (time).

Don’t forget your camera!

The shy performers can act in duos or trios, but can also act with the character guest, who will change accordingly to fit the script.


In the picture, some girls all dressed up, playing at our custom talent show backdrop. Some talented actors and actresses may take their parts very seriously!  They can get really exhausted, so we recommend snacks and beverages at the party, and lots of water.

Our parties are always learning experiences and there is nothing more wonderful that allowing your children express themselves through music, acting or dancing. You might be surprised, like I was when I saw this two kids performing for a talent show. Watch…

Choo Choooooo!

Choo Chooo!  Yes, I think I can,  Yes, I can… Remember the train from Dumbo who was trying to climb  up a hill and kept telling himself,  I think I can, I think I can?

With a bunch of parties to work on and a couple of bridals in the way… We feel like the Choo Choo right now!

Thomas the train, The Little Train that Could, and many others are  favorites  for boys ages 1 and up!

This centerpieces are for Alex and his third birthday.

1. Budget. Cost -Effective. Many people think that by doing things themselves, they will save a lot of the expenses on their nest event. Truth of the matter is, hiring an event planner is better in the long run if you value your time. Event planners also have special discounts at venues, know places to go and get the best stuff and will be most cost-effective in the long run.

2. Creativity. Not all event planners are creative. And by creative I mean: budget wise but also that have ideas that will wow your guests at your next event. On the first interview, think… Are you in sync with their ideas? Do they listen to what you have to say. All this is important.

2. An Eye into Detail and organization. An event planner should see the things that you don’t or don’t have time to be watching. Their eye in to detail, organization skills and leadership are all factors that must be taken into consideration when hiring your event planner.

Talent Show Party

This awesome and talented kid performed “Paparazzi” by Lady Gaga at Edmond’s Sixth Grade Festival.

Talent show parties are becoming very popular, not only at schools but as private birthday party celebrations. You can have an all the way type of thing where you can even hire look alike performers to hang out with your friends or have special appearances or keep it simple.

If you gave us to choose where to spend the most at this type of party, I would have to say decoration and the stage.  Also a character host/DJ who acts as a presenter like in the Oscar’s or Academy Awards!   Remember the focal point is the stage where you can set up the DJ and/or karaoke machine. We have developed a pop-up type of stage that we rent or have a more elaborate one that can light up and change colors. Our decoration also includes a mood set up high-quality banner of the Hollywood sign in California. It is an awesome setup that can include red carpet picture opportunity. Your friends will sure feel like the stars of the night.

The DJ creates fun games for the kids to follow. It is funny how kids get shy around other friends but will follow fun directions from a stranger. The truth is that a professional DJ for kids knows how to make everyone participate and get the energy going so they all  have a great time. Ours even has everyone warm up their voices, form group and have intermission games where everyone wants to jump in and participate.  Combine Karaoke with dance shows, this way you have a better opportunity for participation.  Have solos but also duets and group singing and dancing. You can even plan this ahead of time creatively so your friends form in groups for the party.

These talent show, karaoke or fun parties can be theme related with Western or Hannah Montana, Camp Rock, the Grammies, America’s got talent, American Idol, and so on.

Have someone impartial be the judges at your party and have the DJ make a fun introduction. At the end of the party you can award them categories and give them small Oscar statues or prizes. Everybody should be a winner. Some categories: Best acting performance, best dressed, best singer, etc.

To save on the cost of  food, keep it simple with dips,  chip, pop-corn, pizza and hot dogs like in the movies and have everyone stadium style seated surrounding the stage. If you want to go high-end on food, go with mouth bites and hors d’oeuvres, again your choice of mini-pizzas or shrimp and caviar!

Princess Anabelle

Princess Anabelle visited Flora Ridge Elementary in Kissimee for their Spring Festival as a special guest. She felt very special surrounded by so many wonderful kids. These siblings in particular made her feel very special. I was nearby so I overheard their conversation, Ooooops, nosy me! It went something like this:

Siblings: Yes, she is! Excuse me, didn’t I meet you at Disney? Aren’t you the Beauty in the Beauty and the Beast?

Anabelle: No, I’m not, but I know her very well…. She is my cousin and our kingdoms are close by. Did you hear what happened to her?  She met a Best and fell madly in love with him…I was so worried for her you know….

Oldest sibling: Don’t worry, there is nothing to worry about, the Beast turned out to be a Prince and they married and live happily ever after.

Anabelle: It is a good thing you tell me this…I left my kingdom some years ago and came to America, I now live in a beautiful Cottage surrounded by trees and flowers, lots and lots of flowers….

They talked and talked and asked alll sort of interesting questions like:

What has happened to your kingdom since you left?

Do you have Dragons in your kingdom?

Does Belle write to you?

Blue Spark in Osceola County

We were invited to participate on a Partners for Education family picnic. We shared great moments with the kids and their families at beautiful Chisholm PArk Trail in Saint Cloud, FL.

We got there early to put our tent and face painting in place and Blue Spark flew there  and was a great hit with children.

Blue Spark was magical she played around and did face painting on some kids.  Butterfly masks were their favorite, we had a couple of dragons, snakes and spidermans too.

Thankyou Judy for having us at the Park. We had a terrific time and the kids did too!
