Super Chic Spa Party

April 2, 2012

The use of the French très chic (very chic) by an english speaker would generally mean elegant, beautiful,  and it is specially associated with stylishness.

So what else could these two beautiful twins have for their birthday party? The answer:   A très chic spa party,   with Hippojoy.

Introducing Marina & Gabriella, two sparkly and adorable twins…. One is totally into pink, the other one would rather have a calm setting and loves lime-green. Perfect combination…voila!

This is a party were a photographer is a must. Marina and Gabriella were fortunate to have deLima photography at their party. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful and professional pics, great work.

The setting was in pink, fucsia and lime green. We had stations so the girls would be pampered every step of the way.

They were greeted with a sparkly beverage by Miss Roxanne, who flew directly from France with her associate Maggie. They own a luxurious Spa in France you see, the Spa were Monsieur Beaveerrr and his girl friend, beautiful Selena go for some beauty rest. Madamme Roxanne, has a heavy frenchy accent but is great to be around with.  She has great beauty tips for every girl…

A little toast for the Birthday girl were they shared their wishes for them and said beautiful things about the twins.  We taught the girls the importance of walking with confidence, inner beauty and how a happy smile can conquer a lot! I am not sure if it was what we have told them or the fun they were having but smiles were everywhere.

The girls had beauty masks, a relaxing massage, make up and manicures.

I will post more pictures and talk a little bit more about menu and other great ideas for the Spa theme.

Ideas to have an awesome “Super Hero Party”

May 27, 2010

1. FIND OUT WHAT SUPER HERO IS YOUR CHILD’S FAVORITE

Sometimes kids know what they want since very early childhood. Do not worry if your 2 year old says “baman” when you keep pushing a Cho-cho train party. Batman will be more than awesome, you just have to keep the games and play age appropiate.

2. CREATE  A SUPER HERO TRAINING CAMP

You can ask guests to come dressed up as their favorite super hero and create for them a Super Hero Training Camp.  If you do not want to impose or make your guests spend on costumes, make super hero capes out of  satin polyester and put their first initial on them.

Have them play games to train their different super powers. Obstacle course to train speed, fake weight lift to test their strength you can manufacture one by using black balloons at each end of a pole.

3. INVITE A SUPER HERO CHARACTER HOST

Can you imagine your kids face if a real super hero arrives at his party?  If your party host is experienced and is able to remain in character, the kids will love it.  Check out the planetarians, they are the new super hero characters created by hippojoy. They are friends to many super heros, and have amazing super powers!  For a twist, why not inviting a nemesis! Be cautious, the nemesis must be for a specific group and be more funny than scary!

4. DECORATION

Airtubes are great for this party! We use them to simulate a super hero world. Use giant signs like in the comics and hang them. Words like Pam! WOW, POW!! , SSHWEEESHHH!

4.GAMES

We can play so many fun games for this party that I will only mention a few. Pass the chryptonite if it is a Superman party, a version of hot potato with a twist. Obstacle courses, super hero tests, investigation hero league where all kids are directed but the host into a scavenger hunt full of riddles and fun!
